Our Target Group and Our Concept

Uncategorized

We have chosen a target group and we have analysed them thourougly . We have chosen to go for families with children age 12+. It is a large target group but it fits our concept best.

After we analysed our persona’s we also made a swot and golden circles. We did this to know what the experience for the user will be and what are our strengts and weaknesses

SWOT

Strength – Sneaky finders is an interactive way for all ages to learn about enschede, it is mostly focused on the teenagers above 12. They are the ones that use their phones the most and will be attracted most. The scavenger hunt is mostly focussed on particular time frames, such as the world war etc. This scavenger hunt is a fun and interactive way of learning about enschede for every one.

Weakness – Our weakness is the usage of phones, as it is not very social to each other, however you do not use your phone the entire time, as when you walk from one point to the other you look around. However when this is played together you can as one team just play on one phone.

Opportunities – We have the opportunity to have an alternative way of going through Enschede

Threats – People have to come to our installation, people have to want to play it. We are users reliable.

GOLDEN CIRCLES

WHY – This scavenger hunt is a fun way of teaching families about the history of enschede, and certain facts that are unknown to most visitors to enschede.

HOW – this scavenger hunt will be played on the users phone. They will be given an instruction video, this video explains how to play. After the video the user receives the QR code for the website where you play the game.

WHAT – It is a scavenger-hunt through Enschede played on a mobile phone in a web browser

Demo sprint 2

Demo 2 was better prepared than the first demo, we mostly had to work on our experience and what do the people that participate get out of it. With the website getting more shape and the look and feel how we want to, we hope that that point will be better next time around. We still are not on a sufficient so we have to work a little harder.

Koelink juwelier stand

After a long time of discussing we decided we wanted to go to T-mobile, we went there but they already had a group of students which would like to be in front.

We then went to Swapfiets and to top mobile, these were not our first choice and were also already chosen.

Koelink was our first choice however this changed to T-mobile as we didn’t want to associated criminals with a jewellery store.

The concept didn’t change much but we did chose for the jewellery store, they also really like our concept and thought it would fit their store.

Going to shops in the havenstraat passage

Femke Zwart, Uncategorized

For this project we need a store for providing us a location and possibly for electricity. When we went into the city we tried 4 different shops. One of the shops did not fit our concept.

The first 2 shops we tried were already taken by other students.

We tried top mobile as last resort if Koelink was already taken. However we went to koelink and told them about our concept, the woman who helped us really thought the concept fitted their store.

We set up an email for the store so everyone at the store could agree and know about.

2 guest lectures

Guest lecture 1:

This lecture was done by Edwin Dertien, he is a very creative weirdo. He has made several robots and done projects with furies.

This lecture was mainly about what experience you are creating for the user. It was mostly focused on the look and feel rather than the technology.

The lecturer told us also to mainly focus on the user experience rather than the technology behind it all. Which is not the focus of our project.

The lecture showed some interesting installations but did not help us any further in the process of our own besides, looking at another side of our experience.

Guest lecture 2:

This lecture was about what data you collect while the user use the installation, this is important so you can collect data without the user really knowing it is being collected.

Choosing from 14 historical moments

Femke Zwart, Uncategorized

For our story we wanted to use a few historical events that happend in Enschede.

We came to the point that we had 14 different points in history that could possibly be used.

In the end we chose 5 that we liked most:

  • Van heekplein 1972
  • Kerk (1200, 1482, 1852)
  • Bombardement (1943-1944)
  • Bolwerk + groslch (1904, 1615)
  • Standsbrand (1517)

We still need to develop the ideas for the locations as on each location something else will happen.
